You say new ice age, I say great news for professional dress.

Wool suits will be back in style, even in the Dallas summer if this is to be believed...

woot, I can dust off my overcoats...

Wonderella

After going to work for Linden Lab/Second Life, I knew it was only a matter of time before I'd find where my old medium would zing my new medium.

So here it is; The Non Adventures of Wonderella showing the world of 'Sucking Life'

Later George ...

Back in around March of this year I was in Las Vegas, one of my favorite spots for the unloading excess cash. While there I chanced into learning that George Carlin was doing a few shows that week at the Orleans Casino; and having never seen him live, I went.

I remember making a joke to myself while I was there that it was good I finally got to see him while he still was alive as it probaly wouldn't be much longer, I'd feel bad about being morbidly prophetic but I'd like to think Carlin could appreciate a joke at his expense, especially since his act that night partly focused on him outliving his dead friends.

Like many people, I have been a life long fan of George Carlin. It hardly needs saying by me that his work influenced an entire generation of comedy writers, and will continue to do so ...

With that,
Later George.

Anatomy of an In-N-Out Burger

I went to the In-N-Out Burger while in San Francisco last week. I know it's just another fast food joint but since we don't have them in Texas I get told by my west coast friends how great these things are all the time. Having not tried one, I have been unable to know first-hand whether or not they were the holy grail of the quick-serv food industry.

Attached is a photo of the burger, like most fast food burgers it tasted like - fast food. I do give it high marks for not turning my stomach an hour later, a feat rarely accomplished by other burger vendors.

One of the neat things about the item is how you can order it. Preference is assigned to the number of meat slices vs the number of cheese slices, resulting in the nomenclature of [#[meat]] x [#[cheese]] - i.e. a 2x2. (The attached photo is a 3x3.)

Having finally sampled it, I was suprised to determine that it tasts not unlike our own regional chain, What-A-Burger. Like most fast food, it's all about the same. So I suppose whether you go to In-N-Out or a What-A-Burger, you'll get your daily overload of grease.
